Our Review:
Detroit rapper Obie Trice has good reason to raise his glass. With rap heavyweights Timbaland, Eminem and Dr. Dre putting their collective might behind his debut, the onetime crack dealer is almost certain to follow 50 Cent's chart-busting lead. The question is: Does Cheers have the juice to keep him on top? Sure. Why not? First single "Got Some Teeth" is a hilarious throwback to the lyrical silliness of Em's own early hits. The rest of the album sees him digging a little deeper, particularly on "Hands on You," where Trice gets to show off his incredible lyrical flow alongside an unusually subdued Eminem. And the Ja Rule diss track "S--t Hits the Fan" is completely brutal. Besides, what's a good night out without a proper tussle?
